The countdown for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding at Madison Square Garden is on, and we have our first look at the decor. Workers were spotted rolling out a red carpet outside of MSG ahead of the event, only to rip it back out. Why, you ask? TMZ reports that Taylor and Travis wanted a purple carpet, so the vibe is currently being switched up.
Meanwhile, CBS captured video of items for a “garden party” being brought in, which adds credence to TMZ’s report that Taylor and Travis are building a “massive castle” “inside a garden” and that the “venue being transformed into a full-blown fairytale.”
The outlet also reports that MSG employees aren’t allowed to have their phones during setup, and that despite all the buzz, they haven’t officially been told that they’re working on Taylor and Travis’s wedding. They’re also going through an extra layer of security ahead of setup and wearing wristbands.
In other words, there’s a huge emphasis on secrecy around this event! And once items are loaded into MSG, there will be maximum privacy since the space doesn’t have windows and no one is able to take photos.
Reminder: Taylor and Travis reportedly hosted a rehearsal dinner at MSG on 2 July and a wedding on 3 July. There’s speculation that they’re already officially married and that Friday’s party will be a reception only, but we’ll see!
