Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are officially (well, rumoured / apparently / maybe / probably) getting married this weekend, and fans are doing everything they can to keep it together. While we wait with baited breath to see what she might be wearing, we've already been digging into how much the whole thing is costing, and where it's even meant to be taking place. Like, what venue is the Taylor Swift marrying Travis Kelce?
Following their August 2025 engagement, the pair are going to say 'I do' almost a year later.
Here's everything you need to know about the rumoured nuptials, from where it's taking place to what we know about the venue.
Where are Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce getting married?
According to TMZ, they originally hoped to tie the knot with a ceremony in Rhode Island, but their plans were scuppered when "word got out about the venue." And so, instead, they've chosen the little known location of... Madison Square Gardens in New York City.
The rumours began when US publications like the NYT revealed permits for a "large-scale event" had been requested MSG, which has a capacity of 22,000 people. Apparently, the request is that all roads around the venue will be closed from the 2nd to the 4th July, aka Independence Day - something which any Taylor Swift fan will know is an iconic party weekend for the singer.
The publication then suggested several players from Trav's American football team Kansas City Chiefs American had booked hotel rooms nearby.
The major of New York Zohran Mamdani only added fuel to the rumours when he said at a press conference, "My recommendation to all New Yorkers is to stay inside and stay cool. And if you happen to be getting married at Madison Square Garden, you will be staying inside and you will be staying cool."
What will happen at Madison Square Gardens for Taylor and Travis's wedding?
Again, there have been rumours all over the place as to what is actually happening this weekend. CBS said a small rehearsal dinner would be held at the Infosys Theatre at Madison Square Garden tonight [Thursday 2nd July], which will be attended by about 100 people.
Page Six then shared a running order for the weekend which similarly started with a rehearsal dinner on the 2nd July. Then:
- Doors for guests will open on Friday 3rd July from 3:30pm, for a cocktail party on the 6th floor
- The wedding will begin at 5:30pm on the MSG arena floor
- The reception will take place afterwards, wrapping up at 2:00am on 4th July
Could Madison Square Gardens be a decoy for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding?
Totally! Taylor is the queen of Easter eggs and secret plans, and so there's no doubt this all could be a major ruse to throw the press and photographers off the scent. Maybe she and Trav have an intimate ceremony planned among a Christmas tree farm? Or maybe they're heading to Rhode Island after all? Guess we'll have to wait and see.
