But as a departure from soaps and crime thrillers, Keegan takes on a real life drama adaptation in ITV’s Tina & Bobby – and with the World Cup in full swing, there’s no better time to binge it.
Starring alongside Lorne MacFayden, who plays former England captain and World Cup legend Bobby Moore, Keegan takes the role of Moore’s wife Tina Dean. As a series based on Dean’s memoir about Moore’s life, his rise to fame and their marriage, Tina & Bobby is more a romantic drama with the backdrop of football.

What is Tina & Bobby about?
Tina & Bobby is a three-part series set in Essex which depicts the storybook meeting of teenage West Ham footballer Bobby Moore and Tina Dean in 1957. After quickly falling in love – while Moore’s sporting career simultaneously begins to take off – the plot develops alongside their tumultuous marriage, shadowed by the couple’s unexpected rise to fame and sudden life in the spotlight.
The series covers England’s iconic 1966 World Cup Victory, but explores the pressure and tension it caused for the couple’s relationship. Tina & Bobby is based on a real-life story spanning the 1950s to 1980s, when Dean was considered to have been one of the original ‘WAGs’.

As mentioned, Michelle Keegan is at the helm of the show, starring as Tina Dean – and this time (in true vintage fashion), you’ll find her as a bleach blonde, donning ‘60s glamour attire. Joining Keegan is co-star Lorne MacFayden as Bobby Moore; MacFayden can be recognised from shows such as The Level, Starstruck, and the 2021 film Operation Mincemeat.
