Fans of Euphoria have been patiently waiting for news on the second season of the HBO hit for what seems like an eternity now. But while it sadly looks like we won't be getting season two any time soon, it's been confirmed that fans will be treated to two new bonus episodes, the trailer for the second of which landed on 19th January.

The first bonus episode came first just in time for Christmas, with Zendaya tweeting our first look at the trailer at the beginning of December 2020.

The special episodes are intended to bridge the gap between the first season and the second season, which had started production in March but was shut down just days later due to the coronavirus pandemic, and the first episode, titled Rue, dropped on Sunday 6th December on HBO.

As for the second? Aptly titled 'F**k Anyone Who's Not a Sea Blob', the bonus episode will show us Jules' perspective on events after she leaves Rue behind. And, er, let's just say she's not taking it well. Check out the trailer:

Euphoria's second special episode will air on January 24 at 9pm on HBO. Though there isn't a UK air date yet, viewers can still watch Euphoria in the UK on NOW TV. Subscribing to NOW TV's Entertainment Pass will cost £9.99 a month and will give you access to Euphoria and a number of other shows including The Undoing.

Fans were overjoyed to see Zendaya credited as an "Emmy award winner" in the first trailer, since she made history back in October by winning an Outstanding Lead Actress Emmy Award at the age of 24.

In June, Zendaya spoke about how production on the show was postponed as a result of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

"We were supposed to go back to work, I believe, on March 16, and, literally, three or four days before that, they were shut down," Zendaya previously told Variety. "I was like, 'I was so close.' We did camera tests and hair and makeup tests, and we got to see everybody and we had the sets were built."

Then in October Zendaya, who made history winning an Emmy for her role as teen drug addict Rue Bennett, confirmed the exciting news about the bonus episodes on Instagram.

Back in August, Zendaya hinted at the bonus episodes during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, saying they would need to be filmed in a "safer environment".

"We might end up doing, like, a little bridge episode," she shared. "I don’t really know how to describe it, but an episode that we can do with a limited amount of people in a safer environment that can, I don’t know, give people something."

We'll absolutely take it.
