Walk with me: There’s just something that hits different about watching hot people be messy on national television. I’ll be the first to say that Love Island USA’s casting directors deserve their 10s, because they fully nailed it with season 8’s Islanders. From the OGs who walked into the Fiji Villa on day one to the Bombshells who crashed the party later in the season, there’s one common thread: Some of them are legit models! (Which probably explains why they’ve got no issue galavanting around the Villa sans shirts and in cute bikinis.)

Once Jen Terry made her way to Fiji as a Bombshell, Tumblr king Bryce Dettloff recognized her from some of their previous modeling gigs. Then, there’s Melanie Moreno, who used to slay runways as a plus-size model, and, of course, the generational face cards of aspiring models Trinity Tatum, Kayda Bosse, and, yes, even Gabriel Vasconcelos.

That being said! A buncha the Islanders have actually appeared in modeling campaigns over the years with brands like Guess, Jockey, and…Spirit Halloween? Scroll ahead to see the most iconic modeling gigs that Love Island USA season 8 cast members have posed for.

Dylan Wrona

Fans couldn’t place where they knew Dylan from before Love Island, but as it turns out, he was fully out here modeling at the Golden Globes earlier this year! As a model signed with Wilhelmina and Select Models, he posed for brands like Buckle, Jockey, and Dick’s Sporting Goods before he eventually cried into Kenzie’s arms on Love Island.

Melanie Moreno

Melanie was a bikini baddie long before she hit the Love Island USA Villa, thanks to her work as a plus-size model. She walked in Pretty Little Thing’s fashion show for Miami Swim Week in 2022 and even shot a separate video for the brand during festival season. Eagle-eyed fans noticed she most recently posed for a Vans campaign, too.

Bryce Dettloff

Bryce has a ton of work across his modeling portfolio, and like his Tubi movie (lol), he’s credited as Bryce Alakai. Here are a few of his most notable campaigns—something tells me there will be many more where this came from after his stint in the Villa!

Jen Terry

Before she became a Bombshell, Jen stayed booked! and! busy! as a full-time professional model. She’s signed to several agencies, like Wilhelmina, Next, and Natural Models, and landed multiple campaigns with SKIMS and Guess. You may even recognize her from the retail pics for some of your Halloween costumes over the years…
