The Love Island USA season 8 reunion can’t come soon enough, and some DeuxMoi sources are spilling some behind-the-scenes tea from the taping. Insiders claim that there’s some beef between the blonde bombshells of this season: Jen Terry, Jaiden Bacciocco, and Caleb McDaniel.
According to the August 13 episode of DeuxMoi’s Deux/U podcast, Jaiden and Caleb reportedly kept exploring their connection and hooked up once they were booted from the Villa. However, Deux’s source alleged that he had cut things off due to “time management” surrounding their budding post-show careers.
The source also claimed that Jen’s close friendship with Caleb led to her and Jaiden unfollowing each other *right* after filming the Love Island reunion (which, as you might recall, sent fans into a tailspin last week).
Per Deux/U, Jaiden accused Jen of sending Caleb’s text that ended their fling…but there isn’t really any proof, so take it with a grain of salt.
ICYMI, this all comes after eagle-eyed fans noticed Jaiden and her fellow Islander-turned-roommate, Kenzie Annis, potentially threw shade at Caleb when he joined a livestream after Love Island wrapped in July.
At the time, he was on a brand trip with PacSun in Tokyo, which Jen and season 6 Islander Rob Rausch also attended. The energy awkwardly shifted during Kenzie and Jaiden’s livestream when Caleb entered the chat. “Caleb? Caleb who?” Kenzie asked before later dropping the question, “Caleb, how’s Japan treating you?”
Fans theorized that the girls—who each coupled up with Caleb at one point during the season—threw major shade at him and his bestie Jen, who also admitted she wouldn’t be friends with Kenzie outside of the Villa.
Later on in the livestream, Kenzie added that Caleb “fumbled” Jaiden after they broke things off. It all seemed to be playful at the time, but given these recent updates from DeuxMoi, maybe there was more drama than we expected.
We’ll have to see how this all pans out on the Love Island USA season 8 reunion, which hits Peacock on Monday, August 31.
