Plus what to expect if your product or brand is crowned a winner.
Welcome to your destination for all things Cosmopolitan Beauty Awards. Our influential awards programs are how our team of savvy editors recognizes excellence and innovation across the beauty industry.
If we’re recommending a new face cream, drugstore lipstick, or designer perfume, it’s because we have meticulously tested, researched, and evaluated that product—and we think our audience will love it, too.

What our stamp of approval means
Securing a Cosmopolitan award seal is a sign of validation from our editors and represents how you capture the hearts (and wallets) of our millions of trend-obsessed readers. Having the coveted Cosmo stamp catapults your product or brand into the “must-have” category and signifies the highest quality to consumers.
FAQ
Our selection process varies a bit with each awards program, but you can trust that if you see one of our seals beside a product or brand, it’s the best of the best.
Our editors and experts require samples so that we can experience products firsthand, but we don’t have a formal product submission process. We’re continually doing market research and testing and reviewing both new and old products throughout the year for awards consideration.
We will reach out to brands individually to request product samples and/or clinical efficacy data. For professional and app-based services or products, we will notify brands directly about specific requirements.
Each awards program has a dedicated group of editors and/or expert judges who evaluate all products. While testing criteria varies by program, the main judging criteria for our awards are:
Quality
Efficacy and performance
Innovation
Ease-of-use and assembly
Value
Editors and experts examine each product as well as marketing claims made by the brand. Samples and/or supporting materials may be requested for further evaluation.
After purchasing an award logo or license, you can share your big win digitally on social media, websites, e-tailers, and banner ads. You can also display your well-deserved accolade on product packaging, print licensing, trophies, and other commemorative ancillary products.
When it comes to flaunting that well-deserved award win, we’ve got to stick to the rules. No shortcuts here.
Yes! You will be directed to a Cosmopolitan sales director for questions about using a quote attributed to a Cosmo team member in your release. No announcements can be made publicly before the award program’s embargo or announcement dates. No exceptions can be made to this timing.
We’re all about embracing your brand’s unique identity, just not when it comes to our logos. No changes can be made to a Cosmo seal logo in any capacity.
