Now that Love Island USA season 8 is over (save for the reunion), I guess there’s nothing to do but sit around and patiently wait for Love Island USA season 9. And for those of you worried about rumors that Ariana Madix might be stepping down as host, she just made a brief and very reassuring statement.

“Obviously, I can’t speak yet to what’s going to be happening next season,” she told Us Weekly during a recent interview before reminding fans that Peacock “did announce already that I will be hosting Love Island Games next year.”

And while she noted that she “can’t say anything that speaks to” Love Island USA season 9 plans, she did wonder about where the constant rumors about her leaving come from. “I have seen comments online that say there’s some sort of two-year thing and I’ve always wondered where did that [rumor] come from?” she continued. “But you know what? It is really nice because so many of those comments will be so positive in the sense that they’re wondering because they’re hoping that I will be back.”

As a reminder: She previously shut down rumors back in July. In response to a fan who asked if this was her “last season hosting,” Ariana reportedly replied, “Why would it be?”

I mean, makes sense! Not only does this seem like the most fun job in the world (six weeks in Fiji and a million iconic outfits? Yes, please), Ariana was just nominated for an Emmy.

She celebrated the milestone on Instagram, writing in part, “IM NOMINATED FOR AN EMMY!!!!!!! can you believe! i cried tears of happiness and could not be more grateful. my career has been such a journey and im grateful for every step.”

As for when we can next see Ariana do her thing, she’s hosting the Love Island USA reunion with Andy Cohen on August 31, so stay tuned for what’s sure to be an iconic (and messy) time.
