Bombshell Gabriel Garland has been removed from the Love Island UK Casa Amor Villa after it “came to light that he was involved in a New Year’s Eve stabbing in southeast London.”
According to court filings obtained by The Sun, the 24-year-old model from London is named in court documents relating to a serious incident on New Year’s Eve in 2019. A man named Vitor Mazzer, 18 at the time, was found guilty of two counts of causing grievous bodily harm with intent following a party in Casewick Road, London.
Court documents state that Gabriel attended the party with Vitor and had an altercation with the two victims before they were stabbed. Gabriel was not charged with any offense. Vitor was jailed for 42 months, and his appeal against conviction was refused in April 2024.
A Love Island UK spokesperson said, “Gabriel has now left the Villa and will not be returning. We will not be commenting further out of a duty of care towards participants.”
Speaking ahead of his time in the Villa, Gabriel was asked what his strategy was going to be. “First and foremost, it’s going to be respectful,” he said at the time. “But I am in it for myself, so I will unfortunately have to step on some toes. I’ll be very respectful with the boys, especially if they’re respectful of me. I’m just going to get in there, get stuck in, see who I’m vibing with off the jump and then explore from there.”
