Serena Page and Kordell Beckham have been going strong since they met in the Love Island USA Villa two summers ago. The couple just stepped out for Variety’s Power of Young Hollywood party in Beverly Hills on Wednesday, August 5, where they were asked about when they’d take the next step in their relationship.
During a chat with Entertainment Tonight, Serena revealed a potential timeline for a proposal after previously claiming she wanted to pick her own engagement ring.
“Look, people keep asking me, like I’m the one getting on my knee. I don’t [know]. Guys, we’re focusing on our careers right now, and we’re building it up. But it’ll happen when it happens,” she explained, adding that the proposal plans fall into Kordell’s hands. “He knows, okay? I don’t know. And I want to keep it that way.”
Elsewhere during her chat, Serena reacted to all the comparisons she’s received to season 8 winner Trinity Tatum as fans have lovingly declared her her “daughter.”
“I saw her when I was in New York last week, and she’s so gorgeous,” Serena said on the red carpet before posing alongside Trinity and her man, Bryce Alakai, later that night. “I mean, I love it. Like, [she’s] a beautiful girl and [her] personality is tea. I love her.”
This isn’t the first time Kordell and Serena have discussed the major relationship milestone. When speaking with Cosmo in February 2025, Serena gushed about her PPG besties Leah Kateb and JaNa Craig playing a role in her wedding one day.
“Leah and JaNa are my sisters. Not only will they be bridesmaids, they’ll be aunties to my kids,” Serena said at the time, while Kordell playfully chimed in, “Y’all heard it here—bridesmaids!”
Her more recent comments come after she admitted she wouldn’t let Kordell pick her engagement ring during an appearance on the Kaylor’s Crash Out podcast.
“I’m not gonna get a surprise ring,” she shared at the time. “I would never leave the ring I’m gonna wear on my hand for the rest of my life in the hands of a man. What the hell? I would never.”
She added that she plans on researching all the details of the ring, including the band and carat size and to “give it to a trusted adult that he’ll know to hit up when the time comes.”
“I’m a control freak when it comes to like, everything,” she shared.
