It's May 2026 and we're finally seeing the sun for what feels like has been an eternity, but *classic* the rays only seem to beam down on the days we're working opposed to the weekend.
Thankfully, if you aren't able to sneak away to the sand the next time it simmers above 15 degrees, you can bring a bit of the beach to you with Sainsbury's outdoor scatter cushion.
And it's the perfect way to nail not just one but two of spring's hottest trends in one go - stripes but also in the trending colour combo of pink and red.
Check the cushion out here:
You may've already sorted your table out with H&M's broderie anglaise white tablecloth and decked out your balcony or patio with Sainsbury's lemon yellow garden set, but let's not forget about turning up the comfort levels too. Contrary to belief, one does not have to suffer to look beautiful - and neither do you when perching on your new garden furniture.
Sainsbury's Habitat Stripe Outdoor Cushion delivers comfort as well as style, the style indeed being a "nostalgic seaside vibe," as per Habitat's description.
And the cheery seaside stripes come in a delightful shade of creamy soft pink and earthy red too.
Measuring 43cm by 43cm by 43cm, the cushion is a comfy, perfect-sized addition to add to any outdoor chair, sofa or even the floor should you so choose. Or how about a deck chair or hammock to unlock a real summer mode?
The cushion is water resistant which means if the classic British weather forecast decides to throw in an unpredictable shower or two, you don't have to sprain something desperately sprinting outside to grab it in.
And while the covers aren't removable, they are easy to wipe - let's not lie, there's always a slip of ketchup or BBQ sauce which slips out that first bite of burger.
It's best to store the cushion indoors when not in use but given its small enough size, it certainly won't hog too much space in that cupboard under the stairs or among the other squashed items haphazardly popped into the attic.
Or, given how nice it is on the eyes, you could just use it inside too right?
Coming in at a price of just £8, there's nothing not to love about this cushion - Habitat has nailed it once again.
And we're not the only ones saying it either, with the cushion gaining a solid 4.6 stars in reviews online.
One user said: "I bought the else ready for the warmer months of sitting outside and having comfy cushions to use, the colour is beautiful and they are plump."
"Really like these cushions, very strong, comfortable and durable, luckily my dog doesn’t like them and is my destroying and ripping them apart, like other cushions I’ve bought. Will definitely buying some more," another added.
Dog proof too? Sold.
