Forget Brat green, because this summer is all about sage green. The hue has taken over from warm browns and earthy terracottas to be the colour of the year, popping up in every high street shop.

From cushions to throws and even bedding sets, it really is everywhere right now - and this latest release from George at Asda spotlights the colour even more.

Fresh from the retailer's new-in range comes a stunning gingham tablecloth, perfect for BBQs in the garden or even picnics in the park. It's made from 100% cotton, which gives it a high-end feel, but for under £10. What's not to like?

It comes in at 230cm x 140cm in size, and already has multiple five star reviews. "Love seersucker, gives a rustic look," one person commented, while another said, "The quality of this tablecloth is great! It washes really well! The size and colour is accurate. I also brought the napkins which are also great quality!"

Another review added, "Such a lovely tablecloth for spring/summer! Good quality and a fair price - very happy!"

Earlier this year, Pinterest released their 2026 palette - a look at the trending colours for the months to come. And while sage green didn't specifically make the cut, jade green did - and it's fair to say it's quite similar.

"Move over, pistachio. Jade is the moment. Somewhere between mint and moss, this shade of earthy energy blends serenity and sophisticated elegance. It’s the glamorous green of all your dreamscapes," they said at the time.
