When it comes to the most popular colours of the season, this spring it's all about fun, and adding a serious dose of bright colour to your home and what better way to do it than the trending pairing of the moment - pink and yellow.

The two bright shades are a match made in interiors heaven, with the rhubarb and custard-esque pairing being seen all over our favourite highstreet homewares stores right now. From a bold clashing pattern on a vase at Habitat, to a more muted pairing of the colours in Next's tumbler glasses, the pretty pairing is everywhere.

And perhaps one of our favourite ways to incorporate this trending colour pairing is with a cushion, and George at Asda has nailed the brief when it comes to the ideal pink and yellow cushion.

As part of their new bold stripe collection Asda has recently released the prettiest reversible pink and yellow stripe cushion.

See the cushion here:

The cushion, which is just £10 by the way, features a wide pink and yellow stripe on one side and then a more thinner ticking style stripe on the other in the same shades. Stripes, although never really go out of style, have been having more of a moment in our homeware as of recent.

Asda's cushion also nails the frill trend, with the cushion complete with a frill pleat trim and a contrasting red scallop detailing too on the wider stripe side.

At such an affordable price, we'd be getting two cushions and adding them to any white, beige or ecru sofa as a serious injection of colour. The cushion would also look nice on it's own on a cosy armchair, or as part of a collection on a bed which has a variety of colours.

And don't be afraid to put it with other patterns. The bold stripes means it would work nicely as a contrast to a soft floral bedding set for example.

It measures up at 45x45cm and it can be machine washed and tumble dried, should any tea spills find their way onto the cushion...(no judgement here).

We'll see you in the supermarket!
