While we've seen off Blue Monday and are shaking off the January blues, don't expect to say goodbye to the colour anytime soon. In fact, it's going to be all over our homeware this spring, and thankfully Primark have got the perfect plates to help you dip into the trend.
While green has been dominating a lot of the homeware space in recent months, blue is going to be getting all the attention soon. One of the biggest shades of blue is going to be the more icy cool blue tone, with places such as Farrow & Ball introducing their new 'Sizing' paint colour -and it's even become a major nail paint colour too.
And you don't need to go to extremes to dip into the trend as Primark's new cosy cottage collection is packed full with icy blue accents, from new bedding sets, to vases and photo frames. Our favourite piece to get the trend? Their new £6 embossed scalloped edge dinner plates.
The plates are a mix of classic white and finished with the icy blue scalloped edging to create a chic and sophisticated look for just £6 per plate. So if you're getting a set of four plates, it's just £24.
The icy blue shade works really well with warm brown tones, which is why it's a perfect colour to incorporate into your dining, especially if you have a wooden dining table.
The plates are microwave and dishwasher safe, so minimum faff is needed after eating from them. If you want to complete the set they also have a cereal bowl with the same ribbon detailing, so you can start and end your day with this pretty and stylish dishware.
Everyone's clicking on...
And while not matching, we're also really enjoying their £4 blue floral side plates which have the same scalloped edging but a floral print instead of a looping ribbon design. They're ideal for complimenting the dinner plates and finishing off the table perfectly if you're hosting for spring.
All Primark homeware is available to shop in store.
