Seeing as the second bank holiday is mere days away (and the Met Office have promised a heatwave until July), Lidl's new paddling pool has come at the perfect time.

According to the Daily Mail, the UK is about to experience the lovely impact of the 'Spanish plume', a 900-mile-wide gust of hot air, that has the potential to last until July.

The upcoming bank holiday weekend is predicted to reach highs of 26°C, with temperatures potentially increasing to the late twenties further into May. So what better time to invest in a paddling pool for the garden?

Lidl is doing a paddling pool for under £14
Lidl

As part of their new Summer Essentials range, Lidl will be selling a 202 x 186 x 46/60cm paddling pool for just £13.99. The pool includes double air chambers, interlocking valves, integrated headrest and cup holder, and boasts a three-year warrantee.

Did someone say cup holder?

Other top picks from the outdoors range also include a beach shelter (£14.99), range of super soaker water guns (from £12.99) and a £12.99 portable air lounger. Now that is something we definitely don't need, but would really like.

The paddling pool goes on sale on Thursday 2 May. We're desperate for one.
