If you've watched Adolescence on Netflix, you may have spotted Hollywood actor Brad Pitt's name in the show's credits.
Pitt served as an executive producer on the hit show, which was created via his production company, Plan B Entertainment.
And the actor who is currently working on his F1 movie, alongside race car driver, Lewis Hamilton, didn't take a back seat when it came to the making of the four-part series.
In fact, the show's director says he was very "hands-on".
Speaking on The Rest is Entertainment podcast, the show's director Philip Barantini explained: "When we were pitching to Plan B, they kept saying, 'We're just waiting for Brad’s schedule.' I thought, 'It can’t be that Brad.' But sure enough, there he was on the Zoom - such a lovely human being and a remarkably hands-on producer.
"He gave feedback, shared ideas, and was so engaged throughout the process. He couldn’t visit the shoot because of his F1 project, but having someone like Brad Pitt involved - and so invested - was incredible. And he's, yeah, I mean, I'd love to work with him again."
Co-created by Jack Thorne and Stephen Graham, Adolescence tells the story of Jamie Miller, a 13-year-old boy who is accused of murdering a girl at his school.
The show has been a runaway success for the streaming site, breaking a record of 66.3 million viewers within a two-week period, and has been praised for its unique one-take filming style and impressive cast, including newcomer Owen Cooper, who stars in the lead role.
"Owen [Cooper] was someone who just felt so real and so natural, and it’s quite rare to see that in an actor, especially in auditions. I think he just didn’t really have any preconceptions about what acting was. He’d done some acting classes, but he was doing it for fun, really," Barantini added.
He continued: "We put him through his paces - he had five auditions, including a couple with Stephen [Graham] towards the end of the process. And every time he came in, he just absolutely nailed it. I’d give him more and more things to do, and each time, he smashed it."
Adolescence is available to stream on Netflix.
