*Spoilers* Last night [16th June 2026] saw the return of the reality-docu-drama, which follows the auditions and training camp of the American football team the Dallas Cowboys' cheerleaders, who fight for a coveted spot on the cheerleading squad.

What happened to Dayton in Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders season 3?

In the first few episodes, we see hopeful Dayton Bramhall return to audition for the 2025-2026 football season, after she was emotionally cut during training camp last series. This is her fourth time auditioning, and fans of the show will know Dayton's mum Shelly Bramhall is the team's associate choreographer and a DCC alum, having danced during the class of 1989.

Dayton revealed she spent a year prepping to audition to qualify for the team, after her exit last season. "I've been in class every single week, maybe three times a week, working on style, working on confidence and performance," she tells the cameras. "I feel more confident this year. I feel more myself, more grown up, so I don't feel like I'm trying to cut and paste into a different mould."

Despite giving a brilliant audition, it's then revealed that it still isn't Dayton's time - and she gets cut from the squad again. Head choreographer Judy Trammell says it's one of the "hardest things in my career" to make the decision, before adding, "I can sleep at night cause I know that we gave her every opportunity, and she did herself too. She's worked hard,"

"It's just sad that it didn't work out. Dayton is a beautiful girl, and she's a beautiful dancer. The power and the ability to captivate and excite and ignite the space in which she's dancing. I don't think that's her style of dance."

Where is Dayton now?

The American football season ran from September 2025 to January 2026, meaning the DCC training camp would have taken place last summer. Since then, Dayton has been active on social media, sharing insights into her life and replying to fan comments on the show.

In July 2025, after she was cut from the team, she shared a personal essay to insist the fourth audition was "definitely my last with DCC", adding that she was "closing that chapter and opening up a new one."

She continued, "I’ve grown so much these past two years, just from this experience alone. That was enough for me, and now it’s time to move on to the next thing and grow somewhere else."

In December 2025, she shared a post about how the year just gone had impacted her in positive ways that she hadn't seen coming. "2025 mentally shifted me in ways I didn’t expect," she wrote at the time. "A new job, a new place, and friendships that feel like home showed me that growth isn’t just about change. It’s about alignment. I learned to trust myself, protect my peace, and let good things find me. Proud of who I’m becoming. 🦋"

Judging by her Instagram, Dayton is still living in Houston, Texas, and is still cheerleading, while it looks like she's also in a relationship with someone called Drew.

In the personal essay, Dayton also said of her future, "The world is my oyster. The biggest thing I would love to do is dance on Broadway and in the West End in London."

Love that for you!
