Four Seasons season two (that's a mouthful) just quietly landed on Netflix, giving us an update on where our favourite eclectic group of friends are following Nick's death at the end of the first series. Now that we've had time to binge-watch all eight new episodes, we've been wondering how they might possibly set up a future series.

Season two of the hit show picked up exactly where season one left off. After Nick died in a tragic car accident, his best friend Kate, Jack, Danny, and Claude, and ex-wife Anne carry on their tradition of holidaying together every year, only this time with his Girlfriend Ginny and their unborn child in tow.

Danny and Claud move to Italy, and then Philidelphia

Much of season two is focused on whether the pair want to have a child together, with Claude insisting it's not on the cards, and actually Danny has some growing up to do.

In a brave turn, they realise perhaps they are viewing having a baby as a sticking plaster to fix their relationship, and instead to move to Trento, Italy, where Claude's family is from. Only then in episode eight, Danny's mother falls ill, and instead they move to Philadelphia to care for her.

Ginny names her baby

After much deliberation, including Anne sharing the name Nick hoped to use for his future son (Eugene!) and Ginny's desire to name the baby Cove (quickly vetoed by the gang), she settles on Gino.

Anne doesn't end up with Brent - and moves to Italy!

Although there is a touch of romance in the air for recently divorced Anne, after Kate tries to set her up with an old friend they bumped into on the beach, things don't work out between the pair. Maybe it has something to do with the fact he ghosts her after accidentally receiving a pair of her knickers. Instead, when she visits Danny and Claude in Italy, she decides she loves it, and wants to move there herself.

What might happen in Four Seasons season 3?

Seeing as the series is based on an annual holiday that the group of friends go on, there's definitely scope for a follow up season. We could see Anne, Danny and Claude joining from their new locations across the world, while Ginny and baby Gino could become permanent members.

Meanwhile, there's the opportunity for romance for Anne, future marathons for Jack, and perhaps the chance for Kate to take centre stage with her own storyline.

Of course, it wouldn't be Four Seasons without the cast, and so we'd hope the likes of Tina Fey, Will Forte, Colman Domingo, Marco Calvani, Kerri Kenney-Silver, and Erika Henningsen will reprise their roles.
