Over the last few days we have been *glued* to our TV screens watching Netflix's latest thriller series The Madness starring Colman Domingo, and now we're already desperate to know, is the series returning for season two?
In the eight-part series Domingo stars as a media pundit, Muncie Daniels, who ends up having to prove his innocence after he stumbles upon a dead body while on a solo trip in the Poconos mountains. He becomes the prime suspect for the death and during this ordeal he tries to reconnect with his estranged family in order to help him survive.

Has The Madness been confirmed for season 2?
Right now there's been no official word from Netflix the series will return. However, we shouldn't be giving up hope quite yet.
The series is currently in the top 10 on Netflix in both the US, Canada, and UK, which is always a good sign and hopefully a good indicator to Netflix to renew it.
And crucially, the series lead Colman Domingo is keen to return and reprise the role of Muncie.
Speaking to Deadline, ahead of the series release, Domingo revealed that unlike previous projects, he is excited about the prospect of returning to the character of Muncie in the series.
"Listen, I don’t really say this a lot about any show because I like going from moment to moment and having great moments in a show and moving on with my life and doing something else," he told the publication. "This show, I think there’s more from Muncie. I would really love to engage with a Season 2, so we’ll see if people think he’s got more story in him as well, so I hope people watch."
Well sounds like you need to bring it back Netflix.
Who would star in The Madness season 2?
If the series does get renewed for a second season, we'd obviously expect Colman Domingo to return as Muncie Daniels. As for the rest of the cast? Well (spoiler alert) there were a few deaths in the season and so given that we'd expect the following cast members to return next season:

- Gabrielle Graham as Kallie Daniels
- Thaddeus J. Mixson as Demetrius Daniels
When could we expect to see a second season of The Madness?
The second season is still yet to be confirmed, however, we can look at the production timeline of season one to get an estimate of when a potential season two would drop.
Season one was first announced back in February 2023, but didn't air until November 2024, and so with this in mind we could be looking at a 2026 release date for a future series.
