If you're a fan of sports documentaries on Netflix, then we have your next obsession. From the producers of Drive To Survive, comes a new series Six Nations: Full Contact, all about the Six Nations Rugby Union Championship.
The new series drops this week on 24th January and gives fans an inside behind the scenes look at the oldest international rugby tournament. And if you're already buzzing about season one and are wondering if we'll get a season two anytime soon, this is what you need to know.
What is Six Nations: Full Contact?
Six Nations: Full Contact is an eight-part documentary on Netflix which gives fans a behind the scenes look at the Six Nations tournament.
In case you're not into rugby (you will be after this series), The Six Nations is the oldest international rugby tournament and sees the teams of England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, Italy and France compete for the winning title.
The Championship is usually held between February and March every year and the new Netflix series will cover 2023's Championship.
In the trailer for the series we see that the series will show behind the scenes moments of the players and the coaches at home with their families, while at training and of course while on the pitch. Like Drive to Survive there will also be up close interviews with some of the key players of the Championship.
Is there going to be a season two of Six Nations: Full Contact?
As of yet there's been no official confirmation from Netflix a second season of Six Nations: Full Contact will go ahead.
However, often Netflix waits to see how a series is received by viewers before renewing it for a second season.
When could we expect to see a season two of Six Nations: Full Contact?
If a second season of Netflix's Six Nations: Full Contact were to go ahead, the series would need to film the upcoming Six Nations Championship which begins on 2nd February and ends on 16 March 2024.
We'd then imagine the next Netflix series would come out in line with the 2025 Championship. The start date for the 2025 championship has not yet been confirmed, however its likely to be the same as previous years and begin in early February.
