When Netflix series Heartstopper season 1 arrived on Netflix, we were immediately obsessed with the high school drama. Based on the graphic novels by Alice Oseman, the show already has a huge fanbase - and viewers can't stop talking about one particularly relatable moment from the series.
Available on Netflix in eight parts, Heartstopper focuses on teenagers Charlie and Nick (Joe Locke and Kit Connor), two classmates who form an unlikely bond before realising their friendship could actually be something more. *Spoilers ahead*.
The pair embark on a relationship, and the series has already been praised for its realistic portrayal of LGBTQ+ teenagers and (for Nick) the confusion of figuring out your sexuality.
One scene in particular sees Nick struggling to work out how he identifies, seen Googling 'Am I gay?' one night and taking an online quiz, before eventually coming out as bisexual.
Reacting to the series online, fans have been busy discussing the moment, pointing out how relatable the Google search and subsequent 'Am I gay?' quizzes available online are for queer people, especially teens.
Taking to Twitter, one viewer posted a screenshot of Nick's Google search, writing, "That moment in every queer person's live [sic]."
Another added a similar screenshot, tweeting, "Every bisexual ever OMG." More viewers chimed in with relatable meme reactions, while one wrote, "[Nick] taking an 'am I gay' quiz whilst crying was the most relatable scene I’ve ever seen in a movie."
A fourth agreed, writing, "I'm not crying usually because of shows but the beginning of episode 3 with the 'am I gay' quiz literally made my crying like a baby [sic]."
So obsessed with this.
