The Tinder Swindler is everyone's latest Netflix true crime obsession, and we have SO many questions. Where is Simon Leviev now? And what has happened to his victims since the documentary was released?
If you need a recap, The Tinder Swindler follows the story of con-man Simon Leviev (real name: Shimon Hayut), who scammed women he met on the titular dating app out of hundreds of thousands of pounds collectively.
At the end of the film, it was revealed that Simon Leviev is now living as a "free man" in Israel, seen continuing his luxury lifestyle with a new girlfriend. But who is the Tinder Swindler's rumoured recent girlfriend, and what do we know about her?
Who is The Tinder Swindler's rumoured former girlfriend, Kate Konlin?
Leviev's rumoured former girlfriend is thought to be Israeli model Kate Konlin - though she has since reportedly revealed that the pair have split.
According to The Sun, Leviev previously tagged Konlin in one of his Instagram Stories, though his account has now been deleted. Konlin was also reportedly the only account Leviev followed before his account went offline earlier this month.
What's more, Konlin even spoke publicly about her relationship with Leviev back in July 2021, telling Israeli magazine Mako, "He did not hide anything from me, it was important to him that I know everything about him from the beginning," [via The Sun], in reference to Simon's past.
Konlin is represented professionally by Metropolitan Models, and she currently boasts 106k followers on Instagram. According to her Insta account, Konlin is 24, celebrating her birthday back in December, with one picture from her party seeming to show a painted portrait of her and Leviev together [below].
However, in February 2022 Radar reported speaking with Konlin 'several months' after her July 2021 interview, via an email exchange. According to the publication, Konlin apparently revealed that she and Simon were no longer in a romantic relationship due to their busy work diaries, but that they were still friends.
Since the documentary was released, victims Cecilie Fjellhøy, Pernilla Sjoholm and Ayleen Charlotte have set up a GoFundMe attempting to raise £600,000 between the three of them, saying, "All we want are our lives back".
An Instagram account under the handle @simon_leviev_official also shared a statement in response to the documentary (via NME), before deleting the account:
"Thank you for all your support. I will share my side of the story in the next few days when I have sorted out the best and most respectful way to tell it, both to the involved parties and myself. Until then, please keep an open mind and heart."
