X-Men star Evan Peters and Ryan Murphy are teaming up for another Netflix series all about serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer titled, Monster: The Jeffery Dahmer Story.

You'll know Peters as for his central role in anthology series American Horror Story throughout the years, first playing Tate Langdon and most recently Jeff Pfister. Murphy, one of the creators of American Horror Story has also made a big name for himself over on Netflix with Glee, Pose and Ratched to name a few.

Here's everything we know about the upcoming project.

Is there a trailer for Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story?

Netflix has dropped the first teaser clip for their Jeffrey Dahmer biopic, and it's the first video footage we've seen of actor Evan Peters in character as the serial killer. Shared on Netflix's socials, the clip is actually a teaser for the full-length trailer, meaning there's more still to come.

Though it's only short, the video still manages to be eerily chilling. Have a watch here:

What's Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story about?

The limited series will tell the story of Jeffrey Dahmer - one of the world's most notorious serial killers - through the perspective of his victims, exploring how Dahmer was able to continue on his killing spree for years unchallenged by police and authorities. With dramatisations of specific events the series will look closely at how police incompetence and white privilege allowed Dahmer to be almost apprehended more than 10 times, before ultimately being released to continue his killing spree.

Known as 'the Milwaukee Cannibal' or 'the Milwaukee Monster' Dahmer was responsible for the murder of 17 men and boys between 1978 and 1991 and was captured after one of his victims escaped from his apartment and reported him to police.

Who has been cast in Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story?

AHS star Evan Peters, a Ryan Murphy go-to, will play the lead role of Jeffrey Dahmer alongside Niecy Nash (When They See Us) as Glenda Cleveland, Dahmer's neighbour who repeatedly alerted the police to his behaviour and even tried contacting the FBI.

Shaun Brown (Grace and Frankie) plays Tracy Edwards, the intended victim who escaped and alerted the police, alongside Colin Ford (Family Guy) as Chazz.

When is Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story going to be released?

We don't yet have a specific date for the series just yet. Netflix has teased that trailers will be dropping throughout September 2022, so we'd expect the series to be released some time before the end of 2022.
