So it would seem that choppy primary school fringes are back in ~fashun~ thanks to Camila Cabello's brand new haircut. And TBH, we're not half mad about it. Who'd of thought our collective 8-year-old manic bathroom antics (read: cutting our own hair) would make beauty trend headlines? Not me, that's fo'sure.

Just short of 24 hours ago, Camila shared a five-part Instagram post featuring said fringe haircut and while more tamed and perfected than our year three versions, it's certainly reminiscent of the twohead coverup. Aka, the extra short style only veils half of her forehead.

Not only is the micro-length giving us nostalgic flashbacks but so is the jagged ends and choppy finish of this look. Scroll through the below carousel post to see Cam's XXS fringe in all its glory.

As shown, the singer's face is framed by a rough-edged baby bang in her trademark jet-black hue, topped with longer layers that fall just at chin-length. The rest of her locks have been styled in a half-up half-down 'do with super cute messy space buns. Love!

Not only that but complementing her bold hairstyle is a dark smoky eye look, faux freckles and a deep brown overlined lip which adds an extra dose of grunge punk rebellion – that we're so here for, may I add. Honestly, it looks like Cam could front a screamo band, so, Kris Jenner, you better watch out.

Could this be a new era for Camila? Perhaps a heavy metal album is on the horizon...?
