Camila Cabello is the queen of effortless beauty. She's a regular for showcasing her incredible skin and going makeup-free, while still experimenting with her look – take that trend-setting, effortless 'French girl bangs' haircut. Miss Cabello is a go-to for 'I woke up like this' beauty.
So, when Cosmopolitan UK got the chance to sit down with the singer and actor before the L'Oréal Paris "Le Défilé Walk Your Worth" show at Paris Fashion Week, you know we jumped at the opportunity.
From her refreshed skincare obsession to how she decides on the next hair transformation and her off-duty beauty routine, we got the inside scoop. You're welcome.
The best beauty lesson I've learned from my makeup artist is...
"Always wash your face, no matter how tired you are. Somebody just introduced me to a cleansing butter instead of makeup wipes and it's been a real game-changer."
Skincare is...
"So fun. I've gotten really big into skincare and learning about different ingredients like hyaluronic acid. It's been so good for my skin and it's nice to almost let your body know 'I'm taking care of you'."
To me, beauty is all about...
"Creative expression. Before, I just didn't think about beauty, it wasn't really an area that I played with in my life. Now, what I wear or playing with different makeup looks is so fun. It's like you're making something. I feel like I missed out on that when I was younger because I didn't have anyone around me who was big on fashion or beauty, like my mom doesn't really wear any makeup. So it's been really fun to get into that."
My first L'Oréal product was...
The Lash Paradise Intense Volume Mascara (£12.99). I'm pretty picky about mascara and that one really darkens my lashes in a really cool way."
My hair reflects my mood...
"I think the first time I dyed my hair was maybe a year and a half ago now, and it's like a sickness. I think, do I want to cut it? I would love to go blonde but would it ruin my hair? My hair varies depending on how I feel or what person or personality traits I want to embody. When I dyed my hair black, I was just ready for a little demon energy but before, it was a honey colour, so was very sweet".
My biggest beauty regret is...
"Oh, I have so many and they're all documented annoyingly. When I didn't care, I was like 'Guys, I just need to be a person. I'm going to pretend like I'm not in the public eye' but there are just so many pictures around. But you know what? It's kind of funny; it's like my Adam Sandler moments."
My biggest beauty icon is...
"Taylor Russell. I'm obsessed with her, she's just so beautiful. I love her pixie cut and how she experiments with makeup and fashion."
My three desert island beauty products are...
"I mean, practically, the first thing I would go for is sunscreen. I don't really need an exfoliator because of the sand but I would definitely need some moisturiser. I would probably go for some mascara, too."
