Ok, so, we are absolutely obsessed with hair transformations here on the Cosmo beauty team, but some, some are special. Sophie Turner is quite literally unrecognisable in her latest Instagram post, as in, I had to look at the username to realise who TF it was.
The actress just shared a first look at her character, Joan in the upcoming ITV drama series of the same name, based on notorious jewel thief Joan Hannington, and wow. Donning a peroxide bob with dark roots, she told fans and followers: "Meet Boisie and Joan 💎 ".
With a deep side-sweep parting and curled-up ends, the 80s look has changed her whole face. The transformation is helped along with that super matte retro foundation and bold red lip. And we need to take a serious moment for that extreme dark eye, taking thick kohl liner from the top and bottom lash line, out into a wing that folds round over the crease.
This is not Sophie Turner, this is Joan Hannington. I mean, I know that's what acting is, but wow the hair and makeup team on this show have knocked it out the park bringing this character to life.
The series will show her evolution from housewife and mother to diamond thief and eventually the criminal mastermind known as 'The Godmother' in Britain's criminal underworld. They got the Mother part right, that's for sure.
I may or may not now be in a Joan Hannington internet black hole, because she looks like a total bad ass. I can't be held accountable if I now descend into a life of jewel thievery.
