Trends come... and then they go. It's only natural that while pencil-thin eyebrows were the 'in' look back in the 90s, that is where they shall stay. Or so I hope. It's the circle of life (in the fashion and beauty world, anyway)...
What I mean by that is we're not all wearing the same things we did back in 2005. Well TBH, low-rise jeans and velour tracksuits are somewhat back in style (personally, I could never, but those who do, certainly pull it off). But back to my original point: we move on from the looks that no longer serve us aka the blocky fringe and bowl haircut all of our mums made us get in early childhood.
However, one hairstyle that is back, courtesy of Hailey Bieber, is the braided pigtails we all wore back in year three. The model is serving a chic, effortless take on Wednesday Adams meets Amanda Thripp aka 'pigtail girl' from Matilda. Uncanny really.
And what makes this look so effortless and chic are those wavy piece-y strands framing the face. It's so easy to recreate, just remember (if you have pin-straight hair, like me) to add some waves into your locks before plaiting – it'll give you so much more volume and texture.
Can we also just take a 'mo to appreciate how incredible Hail's skin looks?! It's the perfect no-makeup makeup look, which she actually shared on TikTok here. Annnd in the pics, the model tagged her new upcoming skincare brand, Rhode. So, we're assuming this is a promo teaser for some new products.
If, from this very moment onwards, you see me constantly refreshing the Rhode Instagram page in the hope of a product launch, no you didn't.
