I feel like 2020 is the year we all got very acquainted with our makeup-free selves. If anything I get more of a shock when I catch a glimpse of myself wearing makeup, compared to when I'm not.
Getting used to see my bare face also means accepting that I'm getting older. Those frown lines aren't going anywhere and I'm pretty sure I'm developing jowls, but at this point who cares.
One person who appears to have literally stopped time is singer Ashanti, who posted a makeup-free video on her Instagram and had me gagging for her skincare routine details.
At 39 years old, Ashanti is by no means old, but somehow she still manages to look exactly the same as she did back in 2002. Which is more than I can say for myself.
Mourning the loss of the sun (try living in England), Ashanti filmed herself desperately trying to catch some rays on her face, so she could "catch a little colour".
With her skin looking clearer than a bottle of Fiji water and and smoother than a slab of marble, she literally doesn't look a day over 19.
Everyone's clicking on...
Maybe that's just the glow you get when you're a Grammy award singer? Or maybe Ashanti is actually a huge Hyram fan and has her skincare routine down to a tea.
Either way, I will be patiently waiting for her to drop every single product she puts on her face...
