- Lyric Medeiros was just evicted from Big Brother 28 but found romance with Rome Seymour during her time on the show.
- Despite knowing association with athletic Rome would make her a target, Lyric prioritized their genuine connection over gameplay strategy, describing an instant spark based on shared family values.
- Rome supported Lyric’s eviction publicly with pride while she revealed her plans to reunite with him after her eviction.
Lyric Medeiros doesn’t seem too fazed by her eviction on the latest episode of Big Brother 28—especially because she’s already planning to see her showmance, Rome Seymour, outside the BB house.
During an exit interview with Parade published on Friday, August 7, Lyric opened up about her time on the iconic reality series and gushed about it bringing some love into her life.
“I’m just so grateful to have had this experience. I met Rome, and the one thing that was getting me through this week was the fact that I could talk to Rome outside of here, and I’m just so excited to do that,” Lyric told the outlet of her eviction.
Elsewhere during the interview, she revealed when she really caught feelings for Rome because, despite being labeled a “showmance,” it was more than what went down on camera.
“When I met Rome, we clicked immediately. He was such a gentleman from the get-go. He made it clear that he was interested in me,” she gushed, adding that they shared similar family values after watching each of their parents be married for almost 30 years.
“I know it sounds crazy, but when you know, you know. And so when I met Rome, I knew that something special was there,” she continued, adding that she knew the potential of their real-life romance could throw their individual gameplay. “But doing that in a house full of 16 people who are out to get you, and Rome being so athletic and a huge target in the house, that was hard for me. Because I knew if I associate myself with this guy, this is a sinking ship. I will be used as a pawn in this game to get at Rome. But honestly, do you see him?! I did not care. I was like, ‘You’re gorgeous. I really like you, and let’s kiss.’”
And kiss they did, whether it was on the BB live feeds or during Rome’s major declaration of love ahead of his eviction a few weeks ago. Upon her eviction, Rome even reassured fans that there was no bad blood between him and Lyric after she voted him out in an unexpected betrayal.
“You did AMAZING @lyricmedeiros I’m so proud to be your cheerleader through this! I can’t wait to see you,” he wrote alongside a clip on his Instagram Stories when she was voted out on August 6. She reposted the sentiment with a heart emoji and exclamation points.
She wasn’t shy about her plans to see Rome, either, telling Parade, “Oh, I’m calling him immediately when I am able to get my phone. Immediately! And I’m telling him how much I love him and how much I miss him. I hope that he’s in Hawaii right now waiting for me with [their main alliance, Jason De Puy].”
Can’t wait to see them all link up again!!
