When it comes to our bedding we don't mess about. Yes, we may be experiencing a heatwave but we still want to prioritise having a cosy, breathable and stylish bedding set to curl into after a long day. So how do we get all three? Well, we've been eyeing up a number of reversible bedding sets from Next that do just this.
The joy of the reversible bedding set is you get two looks in one, and as summer approaches the bedding sets are Next are full of colour and fun prints, which bring the outside in. They're also seriously comfy and breathable thanks to the fabrics they use. Many of the sets below are either 100 per cent cotton or a cotton blend. Cotton bedding is known to be breathable as it allows air to circulate freely, meaning you can regulate your body temperature better when sleeping under it. It also helps to control moisture, keeping sweating to a minimum (ideal right now).
So if you've been looking for a way to bring some more colour and comfort to your bedroom, then may we suggest one (or two) of these reversible bedding sets from Next.
Pink and white stripe set
Stripes are always on style for summer and what's better than one set of stripes? Two sets of stripes! This reversible bedding set has two different size of stripes allowing you to get two different looks in one, and it's ideal for summer thanks to the light pastel shade of pink, which we've been seeing everywhere.
Croissant stripe set
Did someone say breakfast in bed? We may have let out a small squeal when we saw this set because it is SO cute! On both sides there's a fun croissant and coffee print, but the colour is different, with a soft beige on one, and a bright blue stripe on the other. The blue stripe really helps to brighten and elevate the set, by bringing in a contrasting colour that works surprisingly well.
Nautical patterned set
We may not be able to be by the seaside all summer, but one thing we can do is get in the nautical mood with this bedding set. Nautical styles are having a big revival this summer, and we love Next's take on the trend with a lobster and shell pattern design. And again those now signature bright blue stripes really help to breakup the red and pink of the rest of the bedding.
Blue and brown geometric set
Blue and brown is the colour pairing of the season, with the rich chocolate brown contrasting nicely with the cool blue tones. This set features a brown and blue geometric pattern and a soft blue and white stripe pattern on the other, allowing you to dip into the trend.
Sage green floral set
If you prefer a more muted and soothing palette for your bedding sets, then look no further than this sage green and floral reversible set. One on side it's a plain sage green shade, instantly bringing calm to your space, and on the reverse there's a subtle cream and floral pattern with delicate flower.
Natural stripe print set
For all the neutral lovers out there we haven't forgotten you! This reversible set proves beige isn't boring with two different patterns - stripes and grid - in a blend of neutral and white shades. As neutrals go with everything this set will last you far beyond summer, but we do like the chilled out Ibiza feeling it gives for the summer season.
Tropical print set
We're always dreaming of heading to a tropical island and this duvet is instantly transporting us (and our bedroom) there. The brightly coloured set is perfect for summer with its shades of pink, orange and blue, and we love the jade like shade of the horizontal stripes on the reverse. Now, is it bad form to have a piña colada in bed?
