Having starred in Silent Witness for over 20 years it’s fair to say Emilia Fox is a mainstay on British television. However, she shouldn’t just be known for her role as Dr Nikki Alexander, as she’s also starred in a number of other gripping TV shows. From solving crimes in new Italian set drama Signora Volpe, to playing Morgause in the BBC’s Merlin, we’ll quite literally watch any project of hers.
And if you think you’ve seen every Emilia Fox drama then think again, as her 2016 TV series Delicious is now starring on NOW TV and Sky, and it’s a must-watch.
Here’s all the details you need on it.
What is Delicious about?
Delicious premiered in 2016 and is set in Cornwall. It stars Emilia Fox as a woman named Sam who is married to celebrity chef Leo and they run a hotel business. However, what she doesn’t know is Sam is having an affair with his first wife and fellow chef Gina.
After Sam dies in the first episode (it’s not a spoiler - quite literally the premise of the show), he doesn’t disappear and instead returns in memory like form and we see what happens when the two women’s lives interact.
When the show debuted Eater said the series was full of “great performances and smart direction." While the Radio Times said it was a “visual feast” and had “sure-footed storytelling”.
Who stars in Delicious?
Delicious is a star studded production, with Emilia Fox’s husband Leo being played by Iain Glen, who is best known for starring in Game of Thrones. And it gets even better as Leo’s ex-wife Gina is played by comedy legend Dawn French.
Here’s who also stars in the drama:
- Tanya Reynolds as Teresa, Leo and Gina’s daughter
- Ruairí O’Connor as Michael, Leo and Sam’s son
- Sheila Hancock as Mimi, Leo’s mother
- Risteard Cooper as James
- Franco Nero as Joe
- Aaron Anthony as Adam
- Rhashan Stone as Marc
