What is The Suspect about?
Based on crime writer Michael Robotham's novel of the same name, The Suspect stars Aidan Turner as clinical psychologist Joe O'Loughlin. Joe is called in to advise on a crime scene after a woman is discovered dead with 21 self-inflicted stab wounds, which the police believe she was forced to do by her killer. However, when Joe arrives to offer his assistance he discovers the woman is a patient of his and a series of events leads to Joe being named the main suspect in the investigation.
When the series debuted back in 2022 on ITV, The Guardian rated it highly giving it four stars and describing it as "great, well-acted fun". The Telegraph said Turner was "enigmatic" as the psychologist and The Evening Standard praised the show's cinematography.
