We've just about recovered from watching Eve Myles as Detective Cassidy in ITV's Gone, and now she's soon to be back on our screens playing another detective, as season two of Paramount+'s The Crow Girl returns in July.
The Crow Girl debuted in January last year and quickly became a favourite for thriller fans. It starred Eve as DCI Jeanette Kilburn and Katherine Kelly as Dr Sophia Craven, who pair up to work on the mystery of a killer of young men.
Now the show is back for season two and here's everything you need to know about it.
What is The Crow Girl about?
Based on the Crow Girl book series by Erik Axl Sund, the first season is set in Bristol and saw Myles and Kelly star as DCI Jeanette Kilburn and Dr Sophia Craven as they team up to uncover a killer who is murdering a series of young unidentified men, who have been beaten up and filled with anaesthetic before their deaths.
So what is set to occur in season two? Here's the official synopsis: "DCI Jeanette Kilburn's hunt for the killers of young male asylum seekers take a shocking new turn, as a mummified body discovered in a church wall, and a body in a freezer, reveal a chilling connection.
"As Jeanette digs deeper, Dr. Sophia Craven begins to suspect Victoria Burkeman, her mysterious and unstable former patient could be responsible. With the case growing darker, Sophia suspects Victoria is more familiar than she thought, and Jeanette must face the terrifying truth: the killer may be closer than she ever imagined."
When the show debuted it was rated highly for it's pacing, with The Guardian describing it as "a very well-made, pacy drama" and Decider said it was comparable to Happy Valley as it's as much "a psychological thriller as it is a crime drama".
When is The Crow Girl returning for season 2?
The Crow Girl will be returning to Paramount+ with all six episodes on 20th July. If you haven't watched the first season yet then there's plenty of time to go back and watch it ahead of the season two premiere.
