After Cara Delevingne and Ashley Benson split after two years together last week, pictures emerged of Ashley seemingly kissing rapper G-Eazy in a car in Los Angeles.
And while neither Ashley or G-Eazy (real name Gerald Earl Gillum) have spoken out about speculation they're now an item, Cara took to Instagram to defend her ex-girlfriend from internet hate.
Cara, 27, and Ashley, 30, were together from May 2018, when they first made their relationship official on Instagram. Since then, they've treated fans to adorable social media tributes to each other - and who could forget that time they were papped casually carrying that BDSM sex bench?
But according to People magazine, the relationship wasn't to be. Insiders claim the couple split up at the beginning of April, as the romance simply "ran its course".
Since then, Ashley, 30, has been papped with G-Eazy, 30, with many assuming they're now an item thanks to a clip of them kissing doing the rounds.
Now, Cara has taken to Instagram Stories to ask her fans not to troll Ashley over moving on, insisting no one else really knows what went on in their relationship. The 28-year-old wrote:
"It's more important now than ever to spread love not hate. To everybody hating on Ashley Benson, please stop. You don't know the truth, only her and I do and that's exactly how it should be."
A source told PEOPLE that Ashley and G-Eazy have been enjoying something casual with each other, saying: "It feels like just a fling for now. She's getting over a breakup."
Oh, and according to ET, Ashley liked a comment on Instagram that read: "Can't Ashley have friends now? STOP SAYING ASHLEY CHEATED! OR EVEN CARA! They just need friends right now more than ever."
So who even knows what's going on.
