Cara Delevingne and Ashley Benson quickly became one of Hollywood's sweetest couples when they first got together two years ago. They moved in together and even got each other's initials ("CD" and "A") tattooed on their sides last year, further cementing the relationship.
And yet, sources close to the pair are saying they broke up at the beginning of April. According to People magazine, several insiders said the relationship simply “ran its course.”
Why they've called it quits is yet unknown, although a confirmation from the couple isn't expected anytime soon. They only confirmed the relationship started a year after they began dating, and are known for keeping their private lives private. That is, apart from that time they were papped casually carrying that BDSM sex bench into their home last May. Remember that?
The pair were last seen together in March when they popped up on TikTok while recreating some of the Kardashians' most memorable moments, which indicated that they were self quarantining together. Which is what makes the split even harder to digest. But, sources suggest that it's been coming for a while.
"Cara and Ashley always had their ups and down before but it’s over now," the source told People. "Their relationship just ran its course."
According to their social channels, Ashley appears to be carrying on TikTok-ing (sans Cara), while Cara is reportedly self-isolating alone.
We don't know about you, but we really weren't ready for this kind of heartbreak right now.
