OG KUWTK fans will remember the days of Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick defining what it meant to be in love. Fast forward four years, and the pair are no longer together, though Kourtney maintains that their relationship with each other is better than ever.
"[We] get along really well," she said on the Ellen DeGeneres Show. "He definitely makes it clear that the kids are his priority. And he checks in with me every morning, throughout the day, every night, just to make sure that I'm good and that the kids are good, and it's such a nice change - I feel like he's finally grown up."
In the latest episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kourtney went for an emotional healing, and was told by the healer that she and Scott were "soulmates". When she recounted the news to her ex-boyfriend, he told the confessional: "I don’t really know what to think. I’m in another relationship," he continued, referring to current girlfriend Sofia. "I just want to take whatever good away from it that I can."
Kourtney added, "I just really wasn’t expecting that this is what was going to come out of this reading. I feel really claustrophobic or something. We’ve come to such a good place — we’re finally able to travel together as a family. There are so many positives. But the whole soulmate thing comes up … I don’t know. It’s just a lot to think about."
You can say that again. When Khloe asked Scott what Sofia would think of the reading, and if she would feel threatened by his close relationship with Kourtney that allows them to go on holiday together, he continued, "Sofia knew going into this that I was extremely close with Kourtney. She was like, ‘Listen, I will never get between you and your family and your children. Just speak to me and make me comfortable.'
"I definitely don’t want to disrespect my relationship with Sofia because it means a lot to me,” he added. "Whether Kourtney and I are soulmates or not, I feel like I owe a lot to Kourtney for the times that I missed when I wasn’t the best partner to her. So I feel like I will forever be making up for that lost time for the rest of her life."
This all seems very mature and grown up, doesn't it?
