This is a public service announcement: Last night Emma Stone turned heads on the 2025 Golden Globes red carpet with a brand new hairstyle – and it just so happens to be her shortest to date!
The actor, who starred in Yorgos Lanthimos' 2024 film Kinds of Kindness, was rumoured to have shaved her head for the director's next film, Bugonia (to be released on November 7, 2025) – and now we know it to be ~somewhat~ true. I mean, shaved head, pixie cut... same, difference, right?
As shown in the above pap snap, Emma's cropped hairstyle features the tiniest wispy micro bangs we ever did see and a subtle brunette colour refresh, too. Simply stunning! To top off the look, she paired her new 'do with a radiant red Louis Vuitton gown.
The star's surprising new haircut and colour was created by her longtime hairstylist and OLAPLEX Ambassador Tracey Cunningham. "It's like Mia Farrow. She basically has no hair," Tracey told ELLE US. "It's super short, and she's going to have it cut again, so it'll be even shorter."
So, will the rumoured buzzcut take fruition once and for all? Well, we'll have to stay tuned (and keep a close eye on Emma's 'do) to find out...
