Not only is she a pretty face – who also happens to have a pretty voice, too – but Ariana Grande is an otherworldly actor; between her r.e.m. beauty product releases and record-breaking albums, it can be hard to keep up with her impressive resumé. Natch. However, over the weekend, Ari reminded us just how good of a character she can play with a hilarious 16th-century transformation.

Just short of 48 hours ago, Ariana took to US TV screens, hosting season 50, episode 3 of Saturday Night Live (SNL) – which, if you're not familiar, is an American late-night live sketch comedy variety show. For this, she took on a number of roles, performing alongside stars including Chloe Fineman and James Austin Johnson. Our favourite, though? Well, it had to be where she transformed into a 16th-century little boy with a copper-coloured bowl haircut. No, really.

The beauty mogul shared video clips of the character, Antonio, on Instagram.

Scroll to the 12th slide in the below carousel post for a LOL.

I mean, if anything shows commitment to a bit, it's a hilarious cropped haircut (read: wig). Props to Ari and the SNL team for going all out with the dramatic looks.

Now, if you're still left wanting more, fear not for the entire sketch is available to view on YouTube. Watch 'two parents (Maya Rudolph and Andy Samberg) try to impress the Prince (Andrew Dismukes) with their son's (Ariana Grande) singing,' below.
