Jennifer Aniston's bob is nothing new; the actor has been rocking shoulder-grazing locks since the early seasons of Friends, after all. However, what is new is how she refreshes the short 'do with different cuts and styles, more recently, taking the look up a few notches (read: inches) with an itsy bitsy nano-length.
Donning the cover of Variety magazine's most recent 'Actors on Actors' issue – alongside a roster of powerhouse movie stars – Jennifer sports one of her shortest hairstyles to date. And, it's one that's a 'French' and 'le petit' bob hybrid.
But before we get onto the nitty-gritty details of the cut, can we please take a mo' to appreciate Jen An and Quinta Brunson; the dynamic duo we never knew we needed. [Insert fire emojis, here].
Hollywood greats aside, late last year for the autumn/winter 2023/24 season, hairstylist and beauty trend forecaster, Tom Smith predicted that this version of the 'le petit bob' hair look would be big for the season. And that it was and clearly, still is! A timeless classic, perhaps?
"This sharp new offering might be as tiny as a bob can go... before it becomes a totally new shape. It's the sassy sister of the 'French bob' and can be a great option for those growing out a crop," Tom previously explained to Cosmopolitan UK. "If your hair texture is finer or has thinned out over time, this cut is one of the best you could opt for to increase the visual thickness and bulk of your hair.
"The trick to achieving this nano length is to graduate slightly at the nape of the neck. We have to lift the hair above the natural hairline which allows us to create the shorter length around the face."

While not as short as Lily Allen's version of the cut, Jen's brings the best of the chic French interpretation and merges it with the ear-to-chin-skimming petite style.
