Khloé Kardashian needs to apologise to my mum. Because she's about to hear me whine all over again about how she never did cute hairstyles on me in school. Yes, Khloé just brought back the iconic Y2K micro twist take on the ballerina bun and honestly, the memory it unlocked? Wow.
If you don't know what I'm talking about, you'll know it when you see it. And if you were a dance girly? You probably never forgot it. While it's pulled back like a traditional bun, it's all party in the back. I certainly wasn't expecting what I saw when she turned her hair and revealed the masterpiece.
Small pieces of hair are twisted until they curl up on themselves, at which point they are pinned into the bun. This is repeated until all the hair is formed into one twisty, twirly squirmy bun, and let me tell you it had the dance moms in a chokehold back in the 00s.
Donning the style in an IG video with her momager Kris Jenner, it's very much giving grown-up dance mom and daughter. And they're top of the pyramid every time in my eyes.
I don't know if this bun had a name? As I said, I never had one myself – I merely looked on in envy. But if you do know what it's called, please do let me know. And in the meantime, I'm off to berate my mother.
