Do you believe in life after love? Well, I'm not so sure I do anymore *collective sigh* – and that's because when falling in love with Cher's new hairstyle, I synchronously became deceased. Life? No, death by an iconic 60s fringe.
In a recent Instagram post shared by filmmaker Matthew Miele, Cher debuted a brand new, yet equally old (bear with me here, folks) fringed haircut. The video reel arrived on our feeds as an exclusive clip from Matthew's upcoming documentary on the great fashion designer, Bob Mackie.
Watch the legend herself talk all things costume design and *that* 1986 Oscars "revenge dress" below, while, also, looking as beautiful as ever with her classic, long raven locks and fresh 'brow-skimming bang.
As shown, at the time of filming the documentary, Cher opted to have her hair styled down, in loose curls and with a fringed haircut reminiscent of her very own circa 1965. Even as a teenager, Cher – who, at the time was often spotted side by side with Sonny Bono – already had a signature look.
Although long pin-straight hair with a full bang was highly popular at the time, Cher certainly knew how to make it her own.
So, while it may be old in some sense, the timeless cut is as full of life as it once was. Though, it's a shame the same can't be said about myself. If you need me, I'll be reeling off of this statement hair look for the foreseeable... #deceased.
