In what looks to be quite a dramatic haircut, Selena Gomez is now sporting face-framing Bardot bangs and we're so here for the new levelled-up look. It's giving gradient waterfall fringe, 2.0 edition.

Over the weekend, the actor-turned-superstar stepped out at the premiere of the upcoming movie, Lola. Selena attended in support of her bestie, Nicole Peltz-Beckham who not only co-directed the film but stars as the main character, too. Impressive, much?

But grand nepo baby achievements aside, it was actually Sel's fresh new haircut that had us gushing over the red carpet paparazzi pics. See her new 'do, below:

Said cut is inspired by the French style icon of the 60s era, Brigitte Bardot and while period and vintage, it is still very much on trend today. In other words, trends have come and gone over the years but Bardot bangs have remained timeless.

As demonstrated perfectly with the star's new cut, the look is characterised by an effortless, unkempt look that is shorter in the front and longer at the temples; it's all about a tousled, undone feel with layered and voluminous curtain bangs.

Most typically, this look is often parted down the centre of the face and while not initially noticeable, the strands in Selena's fringe do subtly sweep to either side while also growing in length. This is a nod to the recently popular waterfall fringe.

Everyone's clicking on...

So, I guess you could say that this is a hybrid hairstyle, fusing the best aspects of our favourite fringes ATM... that is, sans the recent itsy bitsy micro-fringe length. But hey, there's still time for Sel to take the plunge into even shorter territory.

Chop chop!
