Rita Ora isn't just a pop icon and a staple of prime time UK television (she's among the hosts on The Masked Singer), she's also a fashion provocateur. The musician has proved her flexibility to pull off everything from a chainmail fringed bikini top in October to furry leg warmers in July - yep this girl is at least six months ahead of the fashion cycle the rest of us normies are working with.
But while Rita is something of a fashion chameleon, she keeps things more low-key on the beauty and particularly the hairstyle front. Specifically, after going through a series of dramatic hair transformations at the beginning of her career, Rita has settled on long, wavy, honey blonde locks as her signature hair look.
Any deviation from these show-stopping waves would well and truly throw the world off kilter, right? Well, steel yourself, because Rita has just debuted a hair metamorphosis and it's going to take us daaaaays to get over this.
For the cover of Antidote Magazine, Rita appeared to have cut off of at least half of her hair, rocking a bob that just hit her shoulders - rather than her usual, rib-skimming tresses. To make the alteration even more extreme, the bob featured voluminous, 1970s-style flicked ends.
In addition to this retro detail, Rita's hair seemed to have been treated to a balayage colouring technique - with light blonde ends and darker roots which are closer to her regular, honey blonde shade. Iconic much?
Given that Rita's hair appears to not be similarly transformed in other pics on her socials, we can't help but suspect that she rocked a wig especially for this shoot - but who knows!
Either way, she always looks great - and it's inspiring to see her switch up on her regular locks.
