Never did we ever think Dua Lipa would take the plunge into being a fully-fledged redhead. Sure, she's worn a few vibrant wigs over the years and there was that time circa 2020 lockdown when she sported two-toned candy cane locks but never an entire red (nor permanent) head of hair makeover. That is, until today...

Returning from her Instagram hiatus with a bang, Dua shared a selfie post last night sporting freshly dyed red hair. Casually, she wrote in the caption: "miss me?"

And to answer your question, Miss Peep, yes, we did miss you but ATM we're a little preoccupied with the moody, stark Pinot Noir-toned colour of your tresses! I mean, not only does it look gorgeous with the colouring of her complexion but it's the perfect shade for autumn 2023.

SO fire!

Now, as the rule goes when lightening dark hair, bleach is often a must – just take my journey to pumpkin spiced latté hair as a prime example. However, with Dua opting for a deep blood-red flush, we're going to assume that peroxide wasn't necessary and a demi-permanent dye has been used.

So, if you, too, want to make like Dua with an on-trend beauty look this szn, why not experiment with temporary hair dye? However, do be warned red is the hardest tone to maintain and is the quickest to fade!

Don't say we didn't warn ya...
