Cara Delevingne is not one to play it safe or stick with one look. I mean, did you see her grey hair for the Met Gala? She started the year with crotch-length extensions, went neo-noir dark for a role and just recently cut in a feather fringe. But she really threw us with her latest Instagram post. She's been bobbing about with a blonde bob as of late (see what I did there), so for a minute we didn't recognise her when she popped up on the feed with what looked like dark brown cropped hair.
On closer inspection of the brooding androgynous look, we suspect her hair is in fact slicked back, to create that short effect, with Cara's dark roots giving it that deeper colour. She just looks so different. Even her eye colour looks like a different hue.
Slicked back with visible product, the hair is almost wet-looking, and considering how it perfectly matches her brows, this is presumably the star's natural hair colour or close to it. It doesn't compute in my brain because she's such an iconic blonde, despite me knowing full well that the majority of natural blondes go darker into adulthood. We know it comes out of a bottle but it just feels so right!
Cara went back to her trademark blonde earlier this year and it really felt like a homecoming. She's stunning with every hue but this will always be our favourite.
