Ashley Graham is not one to shy away from a more 'out there' beauty look, like her recent bleached brows, or borrowing from other eras, like her incredible 1920's pin curls at the Met Gala. So really we weren't surprised when she popped up on our IG with this incredible XXL perm-effect curly ponytail. She looks like she's just stepped straight out of a 1980's teen movie and we are living for it.
Ashley's currently hosting HGTV's Barbie Dreamhouse Challenge and the Barbie vibes are evident too, because Barbie did not shy away from a perm in the 8os (no really, google it).
This Barbie is wearing her huge XXL curly ponytail high on the head, full of volume at the crown, lifted up before tumbling down her back in big bouncy curls. The look is tied back but not slicked tight, and finished with a long sweeping side fringe going right across the front of the style and curving down around the face, brought to life with strands of honey highlight. Perfection.
While the curls are perhaps just a touch more defined than a brushed out 80's perm, you can't argue with the spirit of the era. Move that pony to the side and it would be game over.
It's giving 13 Going on 30's Six Chicks, it's giving Pretty in Pink, Molly Ringwald watch out. Because Ash is coming for your crown.
