If (like me) you've started rewatching Sex and the City from the very beginning to celebrate the series two release of And Just Like That, you may be thinking a lot about her makeup routine. Carrie gets a rep for her large collection of shoes (worth the equivalent of a down payment for an apartment, let's not forget) and her iconic fashion looks, but her beauty regime has always been a mystery. That was, until now.

If you couldn't help but wonder what makeup Carrie wears to get her no-makeup-makeup look and minimalistic glow, I'm pleased to say that we *finally* have the answers. Thanks to Sarah Jessica Parker's makeup artist, Elaine Offers Woulard, we now know exactly how Carrie achieves her effortless complexion, and it's all down to Merit Beauty, no less.

Elaine posted the above Instagram carousel and revealed all in the caption. "I used Merit products for the first and second season of “And Just Like That”. The elegant and natural finishes were perfect for Carrie Bradshaw," she wrote.

We're avid fans of Merit Beauty here on the Cosmo team – in fact, you can read my full review on all the products here – so it's no surprise Carrie Sarah Jessica Parker is a fan.

To get that glow, Elaine says she used "Merit Great Skin Instant Glow Serum to hydrate," and then used the "Bronze Balm in Siene, and Flush Balm in Fox were applied as a warming halo on forehead, chin, neck and décolletage," to create the sun-kissed effect.

This was followed by "my favorite Flush Balm in Cheeky and Day Glow Balm in Bounce was applied to the apples of the cheeks," and finished off with "Merit Shade Slick Tinted Lip Oil in Bel Air, a warm clear to moisturize lips".

She also used the Volumizing Brow Pomade in Blonde to groom SJP's arches and finished off the look with three coats (very precise) of their Clean Lash Mascara.

While Carrie struggled to commit to Aidan (yes, I went there), it seems she has no issues with committing to one beauty brand. Anyone else relate? No? Just me...

And just like that, we're off to add Merit's entire makeup line to our baskets.
