'It's not a phase, mom!', I say to myself every time I have an identity crisis and end up impulsively dyeing my hair... But me and my first-world problems aside, it seems Camila Cabello is channelling her inner emo phase, too, with a freshly dyed colour job. Enter: grunge era Cam.

Taking to her Instagram Story just short of 24 hours ago, Camila uploaded a close-up selfie in which we can see she has switched up the colour of her locks. As one (read: pop star) does, Camila has gone against the grain and instead of opting for the blonde sunkissed highlights trend, has undergone a jet-black transformation for the spring/summer seasons *insert I'm not like the other girls, meme*.

But I can't lie, for the dramatics of this look has me and my box dye quaking in our boots. AKA, it's taking everything in my willpower not to follow in Cam's stunning footsteps.

I mean, this is ✨everything✨.

Now, for memory's sake, let's reminisce on the singer's previous look. Her most recent cut and colour are what we're assuming to be the closest to her au naturel roots. Quite literally, that is.

Below is a snap she shared just last week:

Everyone's clicking on...

Side note: hot girls really do have undiagnosed IBS. Just sayin'.

As we can see, the star, obviously, rocked her true brunette roots and balayage blonde warm-toned ends but there's no denying the power of a fresh trip to the salon.

Basically what I'm trying to say is, Cam's black hurr 'do may just be our favourite look yet. Controversial, I know, but she can do no wrong!
