Every now and then a trend comes along that is so fun it just makes life seem more joyous. And yes, often they're the nostalgic ones, butterfly clips and glitter gloss anyone? Beauty has been getting steadily more playful in the last few years, partly thanks to all the 00s revivals. Kylie Jenner's new nails are straight up there with all of that, cementing our eye on the return of playground 'nostalgia nails' trend.

Kylie just got glow-in-the-dark nails in the prettiest aquamarine blue and she basically just won mermaidcore. Just imagine these babies in the depths of the deep dark ocean. She shared the nails on her Insta stories writing: "These glow in the dark nails make me really happy," us too K#6, us too.

They were created by celeb nail artist Zola Ganzorigt, who was also the mastermind behind Hailey Bieber's recent glow-in-the-dark Goose Bumps-esque wonders, revealing they tried 50 colours to land on that sci-fi green.

Sharing them to her Insta page Zola wrote: "Glowing in the dark @haileybieber 💚After trying 50 different colors, we came up with the perfect shade for Coachella 🔫 Always enjoy our scientific experiment 🫶🏻".

Hard relate to that level of indecision and perfectionism. I can't be the only one who goes to every nail appointment half an hour early to choose a colour from the same box I've looked through twice a month for three years, before falling back on a peachy nude every time?

Maybe this summer I'll finally break out of my comfort zone and try some of these glowing mermaid talons 🧜🏼‍♀️🐠🫧.
