While Selena Gomez may give us hair envy on a daily basis, her recent look had our jaws hitting the floor. I mean, how can someone's hair be that incredible? Us mere mortals cannot comprehend.

We're used to the Rare Beauty founder keeping it real, with au naturel selfies and her unfiltered videos, so we were excited to see her playing around with a few hair extensions (or ten). Selena can do many things, but grow Rapunzel-length hair in a matter of mins isn't one of them (as far as we're aware).

What we're talking about is the recent 'before and after' glam video her makeup bestie, Hung Vanngo, recently posted on Instagram. Not only were we impressed with her flawless makeup, but also the hair transformation that occurred in just seconds (well, in Internet time anyway). Prepare to be amazed:

This kind of sorcery is taking us back to those Wizards of Waverly Place days.

The Rare singer tagged hairstylist, Orlando Pita, as the artist responsible for the slicked-back seemingly never-ending braid. Iconique.

The braid was debuted at a Rare Beauty event to celebrate the launch of its brand new Soft Pinch Tinted Lip Oils, which you can now add to your basket immediately. You're welcome.

Now, back to the hair. Is anyone else thinking Selena is giving us major Lara Croft vibes? No? Just me?

We've said it before, but we'll say it again: total hairspo. Now, if only we could pull off the slicked-back look without looking like Humpty Dumpty. Alas, a girl can dream...
